Bell's Humorous New Ad

Mind vs. Soul: The Hunger

The mind longs for tomorrow, it yearns and burns a high temperature passion for improvement and new excitement. The soul wishes to enjoy the present, to appreciate and feel satisfied with the current surroundings. That tree over there. This sip of tea, oh how bitter and refreshing it is. The beating of your heart. When have you heard it last?

Who is the hungriest?

Being More Social With My Chinese

After having a super fun night out with a bunch of friends, including many Chinese I was inspired to breathe some life back into my romance with the Chinese language. I am going to sign up for the equivalent of Twitter "新浪微博" Weibo. It took all 30 seconds of convincing by them and I was sold.

I've been meaning to do something (again) with my Chinese for sometime now. The whole Chinese social media realm will be new for me. Best case scenario: I become a famous Canadian/Chinese blogger followed by millions of loyal super fans! A la this guy:

Kettlebell-ing

Months after reading The Four Hour Body I finally ordered in my very own 45lb kettlebell to put Tim Ferriss' approach to the test, and to do some other awesome exercises. I'm working towards having a very simple but effective home gym. So far it consists of a pull up bar and my body weight and with the kettlebell I ought to be about 90% there.

His article, worth a read in my opinion, is here: http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2011/01/08/kettlebell-swing/

Now to start plans on how to do that kettlebell handstand...

Simplify

Often the solution to starting a new successful venture is to simplify. Our minds have a way of overcomplicating projects, ideas and the unknown. Many of us a seek peer approval, and can`t bear starting anything that is not close to perfection. And therefore not many of us get much done. We become good at what we have done before on a consistent basis, but the projects, hopes and desires for the future lay untouched. The early momentum that could bring sweeping positive change not being allowed to spark.

This blog is to serve as a bouncing point for my ideas and life experiments. Things will be kept simple and fun, and I anticipate sweeping positive change from those first initial sparks. :)

All for now. Welcome back!
